Music Style: | I play accross the board ranging from Uplifting Trance, Hard House,
Hard Trance and NRG, but Hard House is my true love. Generally, I
would describe my sound as Hard, energetic and uplifting. Also very
fond of old skool hardcore from 90-93 and classic House. |
From: | Oringinally from Kent -now living in Somerset after nine years in London. |
Date of birth: | 19/05/78 |
Residencies: | I did have one once at a gay club. Does that count? |
No. of records: | Lots and lots |
Started playing: | First got behind a pair of 1200s in 1996. First played outside of
University in 1999. |
All time top 3 tunes: | Parker & Clind - Generator
Brainbashers - Do it now
Westbam vs Red Jerry - Wizards of the Sonic |
Worst DJing moment: | The usual technical problems - headphones not working, crossfader
breaking, intoxicated promoter turning the main power off by mistake!
There was also one time when I didn't play very well but we don't talk
about that. |
Would most like to play: | I would have loved to have played at Sunnyside Up in it's heyday at
SW1. I'm lucky in that I've played a quite a few venues - The Fridge,
Mass, Cloud 9, Crash, The Soundshaft, Ministry of Sound, George IV,
Medussa, SIDS... |
Most enjoyable set you've played: | Reason in The Ice Box. B2B with D-viant. Very, very amusing! |
When you're not DJing you're: | Working, Drinking... The Usual |
Favourite DJ: | Bunter, Dean Peters, Dan Madams, The Ratpack, Phil Reynolds, Ian
Betts, Paul Allan, LTJ Bukem, Darren Pearce, John Peel - A mixed bag
really |
Favourite Venue: | The Fridge. SW1 and Cloud 9 from Sunnyside Up days. |
Favourite Promotion: | Used to be Sunnyside Up and Feersum. I don't get up to London so
much these days but Tasty always put a good night on. I would also
say Carnage and not just because Dean's booked me a few times! It's
come on a lot in the last couple of years and there's a nice bunch of
people involved. |
Favourite Producer: | Based on the sheer amount of records I own that he's been involved
with I would have to say BK. Nick Sentience, Jon Doe and K90 always
produce quality. |
Favourite Label: | Abercrombie and Fitch/ Diesel. Ho ho! No, Nukleuz, Tripoli Trax and
Honeypot. |
Biggest Influence: | The music played by the likes of Darren Pearce, Skol and Drew from
SSU really got me into the scene. I know everyone always mentions
him but TDV was my first introduction to Hard House. Mates with dex
at Uni also helped get the ball rolling. |
Drink: | European Lager Beer. Wine if it's a posh do! |
Non-music pastime: | Getting out in the Somerset countryside! |
Words of wisdom: | Pot as many balls as you can. |
