Further to the success of the Carl Cox and Friends event, that started in Holland in 2004, and happens again on the April 9th and then for the first time in the UK on April 29th. Our friends from Holland decided to jump in with us and get really involved with a big helping hand.
Aside from a great line up of Carl Cox, Valenintino Kanzyani and many others, flying the flag for Holland and exclusive for this event are Rotterdam’s finest techno/ tech house producer DJ Michel de Hey and Jay Samuel. The line up proving the Anglo-Dutch friendship is still as strong as ever
‘Holland Clubbing’ have recognised the fact that for events of such a size with such an international DJ line-up that distance isn’t important to real music lovers and clubbers across the world and that these events harbour a great bond between the countries. Dance has no barriers. The last event saw hundreds of people flocking from the UK to Holland and this event will further highlight the strength of the Dutch music scene.
The VIP Holland Clubbing Room will be hosted by Jay Samuel. Jay is born and bred in Rotterdam. He supports friend Michel de Hey...also from Rotterdam who will be playing in the main room before Carl. Michel De Hey has won award after award constantly for being the best DJ in Holland.
Carl’s signature style of underground Techno rocks dancefloors around the globe. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest DJs of our time, continuously ranking high in DJ poles and receiving numerous accolades from organisations around the world including Dancestar and NME. With this event being Carl’s one and only appearance in the Capital for 2005 and also his first performance here for 2 years, this night will be one of the biggest nights of the year.
Intec Records was set up in 1999 by Carl to represent the blossoming International House and Techno scene. This night sees the launch of a brand new Intec DJ mix series ‘Intecnique’ featuring Valentino Kanzyani. Providing a focus point for the techno scene’s future headline stars, ‘Intecnique’ will both introduce and nurture up and coming talent as well as provide a platform for those who are already at the top of their game. Valentino is one such future star who’s at the peek of his powers and provides a showcase mix supported by label head TinTin Chambers & Intec artist Roger Watson
In the Star Bar providing the very best in glamorous funky house and electro is one of London’s greatest veteran club nights, Pushca. For 15 years Pushca has filled the gap in the market for a night that offers opulence, luxury and unadulterated house music and it seems only fit that they should be involved in such an event. With them they bring their talented residents and guests; The Hoxton Whores, Lego Boys, Joe Le Groove and Oli Collins.
Finally those Cheeky People once again grace the decks in the Dekota Bar. Cheeky People have played an integral part in all DPressures major events over the years, as well as pulling in the crowds to hear their funky, sexy House music at their own events. Check out residents DJ Boris, Gary Ramsden, Jason Day, Justin Steel & Mr Chip when they represent the Cheeky posse on the night.
This will be a sell out event. Buy tickets early to avoid disappointment.
