Out Of Order DJ comp... THE FUTURE OF HARD DANCE STARTS HERE!!! May 7th 05!!!!
Out Of Order have always been at the forefront in encouraging new DJ’s to come forward and represent themselves. OOO have given many DJ’s there first break within the music industry. we are pressing forward in the hunt to find the very best up n coming talent.
To help judge the competition and generously donate some great prizes we are teaming up with Brain Damage Records and Fatboys Vinyl Record Shop. Together we are excited to bring you our first DJ Comp.
The competition has already been fiercely battled out without the DJ’s even knowing it. Since we made the announcement on Clubbed Up Radio (back in January) that we were to hold our first comp we were inundated with over 30 demos from around the country and even Europe including France, Sweden and Italy. Now 30 demos may not sound a lot but consider this, each demo was a minimum of 60 minutes long, coupled with the fact that each cd sent was better than the last, only then can you begin to imagine how much time has been spent listening to the music, and how hard it was to come to agreement as to which mixes deserved to go through. But after much deliberation and arguments the line has been chosen.
For such a special event we had to invite a very special guest. One that could help us to choose the winner and to play a very special set at the end of the night.
We needed a local hero and one that has helped carve the music scene, as we know it. His DJing has taken him around the world many times to Canada, Australia, Ibiza, Holland, Germany, Taiwan, Japan, US, as well as holding residencies at Infected and Tasty (London).
He’s remixed for Ministry of Sound, Virgin, Tidy Trax, Tripoli Trax, BMG and Cleveland City amongst others including his own label UK Hard with many releases for Billy Bunters label honey pot also.
He is also massively popular and well known for his DJing and producing in the Hard-Core world. Forming CLSM, a campaign was launched to get hard dance on Radio1. They went ahead and produced the now famous Hard-Core track “John Peel is not enough” which got a 2 hour special under the same name and continued pressure until Radio 1 gave hard dance a regular spot.
