The State of the Art New Royal Theatre, Castlebar is preparing to transform itself into a giant Godskitchen heaven on Bank Holiday Sunday the 26th Oct 2008 with World famous Superstar, Erick Morillo. Godskitchen events can always boast massive line ups with some of the world's biggest DJ stars, awe-inspiring décor, world-class lighting & laser shows and state-of-the-art effects. What started out as a burgeoning series of underground Trance parties in the UK has been firmly established as one of the world's undisputed kings of dance culture. Over the years 'GK' events have become a regular, highly-anticipated fixture on Ireland's major dance music events calendar. Godskitchen 2008 at the New Royal Theatre promises to be no exception. This year's event will celebrate the 6th anniversary of Godskitchen in Ireland.
Erick Morillo has remixed everyone from Whitney Houston to Basement Jaxx, from the Sneaker Pimps to Macy Gray. He runs the legendary Subliminal Records Empire and has collaborated with the likes of Puff Daddy, Boy George and the Audio Bullys. He's a platinum selling artist and has topped the charts worldwide.
As a DJ, he's played the world over and from his legendary Subliminal Session parties at Pacha in Ibiza, to his roadblock events at Crobar in Miami; Erick approaches everything he does with an unrivaled work hard/play hard mentality.
Already a familiar television personality through his appearances on MTV UK, and as the host of MTV IBIZA two years in a row, Erick also presented the UK's 2001 Dancestar Awards and starred in a seven part Channel 4 series, which followed him around the world to the biggest parties and aired to millions of viewers.
Also in the Main Room, will see the return of Gods Resident, Neil Navarra who makes this return to Ireland after almost a year of Touring with GK Worldwide, In bed with space, Ibiza and Globalgathering.. Discovered by Miss Moneypennys whilst playing out in Cyprus, relocated to Birmingham and never looked back. Now developing parties all over the world under the Godskitchen, Polysexual and Babooshka banners, Neil will play the main room with support from Dublin's FM 104, Al Gibbs, Ireland's own RTE 2FM dance pioneer and Dublin's Superclub Tripod resident, Conor G, and Northern Ireland's Kinettik music founder, Dale Hooks.
To top this off and bring a Trance element is a well known face that has quickly become a household name in pure energetic trance, Sean Tyas will headline the Ruby Room. Undeniably a genius behind the controls in a studio, Sean Tyas has also translated his technical talents and popular sounds into one of the most in demand DJ sets in trance today. Joining him in the Ruby Room will be Harderedge.net founder, Andy Richmond. Andy is a firm favourite across Ireland and with his Dj'ing ability he always delivers. Discover resident Bryan Kearney will be adding his unique touch to the trance faithful. Local I Radio Dj and Heat Founder Tom Lavin completes the bill with his tough house sound.
This Bank Holiday Sunday session will run from 8pm till 2am.
