"As one door closes, another opens…
After an extremely successful 2005, BPM welcomes 2006 with a new venue, bigger and better line-ups and also an after party venue.
Firstly, due to Zero unfortunately closing down we had to find another venue. After a lot of searching we found Fluid, which is in an ideal spot, right in the middle of the town, it also has a bigger capacity.
So then, for the line up. What better way to kick start 2006 than to invite two of the Hard Dance scene’s most exciting talents – Paul Glazby and Amber D.
Paul’s record label, Vicious Circle has gone from strength to strength. Now into its 6th year, Vicious Circle has recently released their 50th record, a 2005 remix from Paul himself of his awesome track – ‘Kick It’.
Now, onto our local young girl – Amber D. Since signing to the massive Tidy label back in September 2003, Amber has appeared on the cover of M8, been named the Hard Dance Awards Future Hero of the Year for the second year running and is now rumoured to be releasing her own EP on Tidy very soon.
As well as having Paul Glazby & Amber D to christen our new venue, we also very proud to have Les Hemstock playing. Les is one of the most revered and successful trance producers in Britain and is the only UK DJ and Producer to collaborate with trance god Paul Van Dyk, the results of which created the Top 20 hit ‘Nothing But You’.
As can be expected, we have our usual suspects that are continuing to make big names for themselves throughout Stoke-on-Trent and the Midlands. Rockin’ Russ who has recently had records released on Deprivation Recordings as well as Going Crazy(Six Days) on BPM05 - which is available from hardtimez.com. Kym Ayres, our home grown girl who is rumoured to be having a release on the massive label – Tidy. Finally we have local hero, RJT who is proving to be very popular amoung all the local Hard Dance Fan’s.
Fluid has a legal 1250 capacity - 1000 more realistic ( areas of the club can be shut down to make venue as small as 500)consisting of a main bar area and nightclub with dancefloor, pca sound and lighting installation, dj box with monitors & paydesk, cloakroom, 2 sets of toilets, 5 bars, Brilliant door team (best in stoke), good bar staff and management.
Fluid has an excellent reputation in stoke on trent, it has an excellent location in the uk, 30 mins from manchester/wolverhampton/derby with surrounding areas including stafford,newcastle under lyme,crewe,congleton and leek. Nottingham, birmingham, walsall, leicester are also within 45 mins drive.
The club will host, Lazer and full backdrops and new UV decor for the opening party!
