After a storming launch event in October, Deeper Kicks will be back for round two at The Music Box on Friday 9th November with another laserfueled hard house session for the main room. Presenting an Oktane Records label night, featuring the hard house legend that is, Justin Bourne of Vicious Circle & Short Circuit battling it out with Adam M of the mighty Oktane Records along with residents AK909, GNR & DJ Kinetic.
Justin Bourne (VC):
Justin has been firmly on the circuit for over 15 years now, although he started out within the Rave/Hardcore scenes, with a small cameo on the House side of things, but was quick to realise his real passion lay with Hard House.
His ability to provide blistering high-energy sets found no better home than part of this growing genre and has earned him high-profile UK residencies at events such as Marc Johnson\\\'s top London Hardhouser, Insekt and also in Ireland where he became a regular fixture at top clubs Energize and Revolution. In the past year his diary has struggled to cope with the huge demand for his presence, as clubs such as Polysexual, Goodgreef, Storm, Deeper Kicks, Tasty, SNAT and B2T joined the queue for his electrifying sets.
Justin has notched up more than 80 releases on labels such as Vicious Circle, Kaktai, Tripoli Trax, Recharge, Flashpoint and a number on his own much respected Short Circuit stamp. He has also just had his latest floorburner, Musikism signed to Adam's Oktane Records.
His continued success on the clubbing circuit is assured thanks to his passion and devotion.
This hero of hooverism was Bourne to bang it!!!
Adam M (Oktane Records):
Coal and Steel production in this country might have declined 1000% in recent years, but by the same percentage we still lead the world in quality DJ output, and amoungst the masses fighting for attention, Adam M is sticking his head above the crowd and his towering presence behind the decks at gigs like Storm, Insomiacz, Deeper Kicks, Clubbed up, Shine, Smashed and regular sets at Frantic nights such as Chemistry and Convergence is equaled by delivering precise and powerful mixing which makes it impossible for you not to notice him.
As well as the dj side of things Adam has been busy in the studio over the past year firmly stamping his mark on hard house. With tracks out on various labels such as Mad cow, Toolbox, Nosebleed and his very own label Oktane Records.
Adam is quickly becoming one of hard houses fasting rising stars. Oktane Records was started in June 2007 by Adam to mainly push his own sound and showcase his latest efforts in the studio. After the success of Oktane 001 things have had a turn for the best, with Forthcoming Tracks and collabs from the likes of Justin Bourne, Defective Audio, Captain Tinrib, Grady G, Dave Owens and Frank Farrell. Adam M and his brainchild – Oktane Records look set to take the hard house scene by storm.
