The Gallery rally the troops once more on Friday 18th August, as London’s favourite Friday night party welcomes back the mighty Markus Schulz for an exclusive set in the capital. Since exploding onto the scene in 2004 with a debut spot of No.32 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ poll, Markus has been winning over fans with his dark, brooding, melodic productions and DJ sets. He’s captured a vibe in trance that was previously only heard in house music. The Dutchman is only of the key artists on Armin Van Buuren’s Armada Music label, but he’s also released his work through other respected labels like Anjunabeats, Yoshitoshi, Global Underground, Bedrock and Renaissance to name a few. On top of that he’s worked with global artists like Madonna, Fat Boy Slim, Gabriel & Dresden, Depeche Mode and Everything But the Girl and Markus also has one of the most internationally listened to radio shows on the internet – ‘Global DJ Broadcast’. Put simply, Markus is one of the most exciting DJ/Producers on the planet right now and his attendance will see The Gallery faithful queuing right round the block!
Also on this week’s line-up is the first lady of Faithless - Sister Bliss. The Gallery veteran recently told us that her legendary British dance act are currently penning a new Faithless album, and as with all previous albums you can be sure to hear a few white labels of the new material down at the ‘Mills as the Blisster road-tests her latest masterpiece!! Joining Sister Bliss will be Andy Moor – who like Markus Schulz is signed to AVB’s Armada Music label. At the age of only 25 he’s already a veteran of the industry having worked for some of the biggest labels and artists in the scene including Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Armin Van Buuren and Arthur Baker. When not DJing solo, you might know Andy from his other musical partnerships - Tilt (Parks, Wilson and Moor), Leama & Moor or Whiteroom, but it’s on his own that we’re interested in as we invite Andy back for another unmissable set. The brainchild behind Wildchild – Reece Elliot is also in town as he plays the much-loved final set of the night, plus we welcome back the majestic Moni for another mouth-watering warm-up.
Meanwhile in T2 this week, get ready for more ‘Adventures in International House Music’ as the Going Place posse pack ‘em in with another mouth-watering line-up. This month’s special guests are G-Club, the production outfit who have crafted their own distinct house sounds over the past 10 years – including the 2001 Ibiza smash hit ‘Guitarra G’. Alongside G-Club will be Going Places’ queen of the dancefloor, Tania von Pear, their long-serving resident. Tania’s been busier than ever this year with more international dates than ever before. Her weekly radio show on MOS Radio has also taken off to put it mildly and she remains one of the hottest female spinners in the UK. Respec! Extra support comes from rising stars Arkasian Society and warm up merchant Andy S.
