With four parties now under the PULP belt, and with a reputation for being the best place in the area for serious connoisseurs to party down to proper music, we feel the time is right to up the ante.

Run by DJs Brad 212 Finlay (former City Loud resident and host of Tea Time Treat on House FM www.myspace.com/brad212finlay), Kerry Wallace (host of Midday Milk on House FM), and including rotating resident DJs Alex Nagshineh www.myspace.com/alexnagshineh, Nick Maleedy & Chris Braun, PULP is taking the already well respected Chapel Bar to blistering new heights. While having taken over the 2nd Friday of each month since its inception in August, PULP changes the program this time around with taking on its only Saturday event planned, on the 9th of December. While returning to the 2nd Friday of each month in January, things step up another notch with the decision to go fortnightly – therefore falling on the 2nd and 4th Friday’s of every month.

While focusing tightly on an underground music policy, where previous guests DJs have included Clint Lee (Papadiso) and Sophie Oliver (Retox), the plan is to book only the most cutting edge, recognized DJs on the underground scene for each event, making the Cheshire Catz an excellent choice the December party. Expect a smooth deep house warm up by CLAUDIO AM before an onslaught of upfront electro, tech house and German-esque influences by Brad 212 Finlay, Kerry Wallace & Chris Braun until the Cheshire Catz step up with their own brand of Wonky Tech madness.

With the current 3am license and recently sound proofed, renovated and redesigned 220 capacity ground floor, The Chapel Bar is an ideal location for a new event of this caliber. PULP succeeds where other parties of this size fail because those booking the DJs, drawing the crowds and marketing the night are out in the scene, using their contacts and keeping abreast of current trends. Adding this to the recently boosted 4500W Turbosound PA system means that The Chapel Bar is more than your average DJ bar and PULP is very pleased to close the year on a high, securing a booking with one of the biggest emerging talents of recent years.

The Cheshire Catz 'One of the hottest UK DJ/Production acts around' (DJ Mag August 2006 / www.myspace.com/cheshirecatz), are masters of wonky tech house and are being hailed as the next big thing on the bleepy beat scene. From their beginnings running the legendary Cheshire Street Sessions – the best thing to come out of Brick Lane since a takeaway from Nazrui Tandoori – to their work running the Fakt Recordings, Jon Blond and Dan Garrett are proving to be a grinningly good addition to the club universe. With regular gigs at the Ministry of Sound, Playtime @ Egg and constantly blowing up dance floors around the world – including upcoming gigs in Canada and France, we are VERY lucky to have them grace our humble night.

So for those looking for an underground musical experience, a late night party and a switched on crowd to get down with, PULP is your only choice in the area.
