Who are the best DJs, boys or girls?
The question gets asked a thousand times and no one is any closer to knowing the answer.
We at Zoology don’t actually care, we believe that it makes no difference what sex you are as long as you have good taste in music and have an understanding of mixing.
That doesn’t mean we aren’t willing to take advantage of this age-old argument and use it as an excuse to throw a special one off: Zoology – Girls vs. Boys.
We have carefully picked whom we believe to be some of the finest Female DJs around to pair up with our residents for this (friendly) battle of the sexes.
Markus Buhmann will be joined by Miss C – This will be her third set at Zoology and a chance for her to play her funkier edged sound alongside Markus. Miss C was resident at becomeone, has played at the Gallery and can currently be found at the 414 on Sunday mornings helping the Sunrise.
B.S.E teams up with Joy of Decks star and Spiritualised resident Clodagh, one of the best Female Techno DJs around her passion for the music has seen her receive massive plaudits from Sister Bliss, Mr C and Carl Cox.
Together they will give us a fantastic Tribal Techno set.
Latex Zebra plays alongside Starlet, better know as Lizzie Curious. Lizzie is a regular around town playing in the funky room for Knowwhere and guesting at a variety of Trance parties. Her and the Zebra will be taking it up a notch with a set of Hard but very uplifting Trance.
RedCaT pairs off against Zana Mills, a DJ with worldwide residencies and the skills to match those credentials. Constantly on the line ups of the biggest parties, her Techno tinged Hard Dance sets make her the perfect partner for our own Tech head RedCaT
The Future Sound of Elvis links up with quite possibly the brightest star in the sky that is Hard House, Lucy Fur. Lucy has been tipped for the top by just about everyone; she has played main rooms sets at the biggest venues for the biggest parties. In short, she is a massive star already.
There you have it. One of the best line-ups we’ve ever had at Zoology and a night guaranteed to be as educational musically as it is fun.
We hope to see you there.
