October is going to be a busy month but there’s always room for a stomp down at the 414! Far from playing it safe we’ve decided to go for another cracking line-up with some of the best djs and producers around the country, including the debut of one of the most sought after engineers.
TurtleDog label owner Dave Owens is fast becoming a legend in the scene with some supreme productions, collaborations and engineering credits to his name. You can tell a track from the TurtleDog studio a mile off – they’re the ones with basslines that blow speakers. There’s only one contender for busiest engineer and that is the next dj to play – Riggsy. The Xtension studios seemingly never sleep churning out a never-ending torrent of dancefloor hits from Hard Dance to Techno to Tech-Trance to the dreaded Fidget. There will be none of that tonight though!
Oktane Records owner and Requiem regular Adam M is making the trip down from Leeds again to show us all how it’s done Hi Oktane style, it’s one of his favourite gigs to play and I’m happy to have him tear the roof off the 414! Backing Adam up will be myself, and my fellow Caterpillar Trax owners Batten & Brow who will be doing their warm up thang, and coaxing everyone on to the dancefloor. Vicious Circle and Fireball Records’ Ben Townsend will also be boshing out a load of his new productions which have made him one to watch in the scene of 2009.
Rising star Gem Stone, who runs Raw Power Recordings and is churning out the hard house at a rate of knots from her home studio in Wales, will be filthing it up along with two of Birmingham’s most respected DJs, Hellbound and Shine regulars Shenton and LT1. Both have a reputation for entertaining you for hours on end in the smoking area of Plug/OCs but also being exceptional DJs and producers in their own right.
Bring it OOOOOOOOOONNN!!!
