It was with a tinge of sadness that we had to announce that due to licensing restrictions we were forced to cancel Lost Dawn Summer Soundsystem for the 14th August. But following on from an amazing party back in July and ahead of our spectacular first birthday at The Dex on the 25th September we were determined not to let this little hiccup derail our plans to party.
We worked tirelessly with The Windmill, a brace of licensing lawyers and the local council to secure a entertainments license to cover us for the next round of your Summer Soundsystem and we’re very pleased to announce we will be touching down again on Clapham Common on Saturday 21st August 2010!
We’ve had to rejig the line up but to whet your appetite we can now reveal our very special guest playing an exclusive house set for Lost Dawn showcasing some of his lesser heard funky and groovy sounds in none other than Mondo Records’ Corderoy.
The Undercover Brother, fresh from absolutely tearing the roof of The Driver last weekend for La Dolce Vita, will be making their unique presence felt and their technological genius known as they take things up a notch for the Lost Dawn Summer Soundsystem. Expect nothing but the best.
Matt H AKA Just Badger is back finding his Lost Dawn with some groovy tech beats and smooth summery vibes. Jetting in from ‘oop north, we know he’s chomping at the bit to showcase his new sounds and we’re just as eager to let him loose.
Grant Stork, Windmill resident extraordinaire, will be up on the decks with his tasty blend of house, classic trance and good vibes. King of his castle he will control all he sees when he steps up to the decks.
Our night owl resident, Adam Symbiosis, gets the honour of closing this month’s party and after the rip-roaring ending to last month’s event, he’s got a lot to live up to. He’ll be bringing a fistful of CDs and maybe even the kitchen sink, but whatever happens you’ll be dancing!
There’ll be the usual great drinks prices at both inside and outside bars plus another opportunity to win free entry to the next Lost Dawn events when you sign up to our mailing list – the winner will be announced in our e-mailout on the 27th August!

Tickets are now on sale for our first birthday at Brixton’s newly refurbished Dex Club and Terrace.
Featuring headliners Disco of Doom and Welfare For The Digital, guests Alan Banks and Miles Gorfy alongside Lost Dawn residents Adam Symbiosis and Craig Gunn, plus a host of arts based attractions to complement and invigorate your night, at just £7 in advance exclusively from Lost Dawn there is nowhere else you should be on Saturday September 25th.
