The Gallery sets sail on another epic Friday night voyage this weekend featuring the roadblock return of the globe-trotting hero Paul Van Dyk. Few jocks have remained at the very top of their profession for such a long period of time, but then again, there aren’t many artists that can even come close to rivaling PVD’s achievements – both as a DJ or as a ground-breaking Producer. Having fled the nest for a number of years, PVD returned to The Gallery earlier this year to a huge homecoming welcome (he really enjoyed himself too!!) And now we’re delighted to have Paul back at the club this Friday night for his 2nd exclusive set of 2006 as part of his monstrous ‘Politics of Dancing 2’ compilation world tour.
We also are pleased to welcome back long-term Gallery legend and Faithless rock-chick Sister Bliss. Her place in The Gallery’s all time Hall of Fame was established many moons ago, but she’s now in her 10th year at the club and the feisty Blisster, just keeps on getting better and better! More recent additions to the Hall of Fame are John Askew and Gavyn Mytchel – Gallery residents and big time producers in their own right. The boys take over from PVD to wrap up the night in style. Also back once again is Steve Richards alongside newcomer Si Stylus warming things up in style, this event is not one to be missed!
The backroom features the underground sounds of Fandango as Radio 1 Resident Nic Fanciulli handpicks a rather special line-up of future heroes in his absence this month (on Renaissance World Tour!). First up are 20:20 Vision signings Electric Press, tipped by DJ Mag as the ‘future of underground house’. Quite a statement, but then again they have been producing killer remixes for DJ T and Boogie Corporation, Wulf N’Flow and Buick Project (the brilliant ‘At the Rave’), plus their superb ‘un-official’ EP re-edit series, that has seen them supplying the EP magic to Daft Punk, Britney, Erykah Badu, Armand Van Helden, Kelis and Ian Brown amongst others! Joining the Electric Press will be two other fast emerging producers (both signed to Fanciulli’s Saved Records camp) – Audiofly and James Talk. Both have been hitting the headlines lately for their releases, With Audiofly making at name for themselves at Space, Ibiza this summer and James also causing a storm – most notably his Ableton Live sessions with Fanciulli!! From the world-beating talents of PVD and Sister Bliss in the main room, through to the hot new bucks on the scene in T2… two rooms of musical magic. It can only be The Gallery!!
