With an action-packed August to look forward to, London’s leading Friday night session The Gallery, first fires up the floor on Friday 4th August, as the all-conquering Judge Jules stops by for an exclusive set. As one of the original ‘superstar DJs’, The Judge is still very much at the top of his game – boasting one of the most grueling diaries on the circuit. Jules’ Judgement Sundays party in Ibiza remains one of the island’s busiest attractions and his Saturday night Radio 1 show also remains as popular as ever. The Gallery favourite will be joined in the main room by a host rising stars, in what you could describe as a bit of trance spectacular! First up, veteran spinner Matt Darey makes a rare Gallery appearance to mark the launch of his new album. Then there’s a dose of double trouble to look out for as Mac & Mac aka acclaimed producers Scott Mac & Mac Zimms also play a one-off set, before Judge Jules’ Serious protégé (and Dogzilla producer) Simon Patterson takes over the trance baton to fill the boots of the legendary final set of the night. Warm up specialist Justin Flower sets the early pace.
Down the corridor into T2, the Jukebox Rebel crew are back in town to present an altogether different (house) beat. Fronted by the pioneering prog-turned-electro prince, Slacker and co-ressie Euan McGrath, Jukebox Rebel has already become a mini-cult with the likes of Dirt Crew, Daniel Taylor and Chris Lake having graced the decks in previous parties. This month it’s the turn of another one of Europe’s most exciting new talents, as Berlin’s Trick & Kubic make their UK Debut. Having delivered the massive electro house bomb that is "Orbital Dance Machine", Trick & Kubic will undoubtedly attract more than the odd trainspotter to the mix, especially with Slacker taking over the 1’s and 2’s himself later on in the night. Meanwhile out back in T3, Kinetec Records return to The Gallery having made a huge impression with their debut party last month. For the August assault, deck duties are left in the capable hands of special guests Alexander Koning (Holland), Finnie and Dave Randall, with more delicious techno coming your way courstey of Kinetec residents James Kinetec and Thermobee. There’s large, then there’s The Gallery… super-sized fun!!
