Oh my god it’s that time again... not only is it time for the beginning of a brand new month but the beginning of a six month residency for one of our true Gallery heroes. He simply wows us each and every time he visits our shores and his six month residency last year was one of the true stand out moments for The Gallery. Returning to do it all over again and with each and every line-up cherry picked with his favourite new talent and producers; this is set to be a monthly experience like no other. We are talking about the return of Mr HERNAN CATTANEO to his London home of The Gallery on Friday 1st May... brace yourself, this one goes deep!
Joining Hernan is another of The Gallery’s residents indeed our longest serving one, Sister Bliss. Another Gallery favourite it becomes increasingly hard to provide enough superlatives to do her justice, a dj to be heard and witnessed she rocks the Box with her perfectly pitched Gallery sound and up for it attitude each and every time. Always providing the perfect soundtrack to which ever Gallery night its fitting for her to get the Box all fired up ahead of Hernan’s return to the hallowed ones and twos. Listen out for a bevy of new Faithless material as the guys have been busy beavering away in the studio of late!! Behrouz is a name rapidly on the ascent, from his early days as resident at San Francisco’s 1015 club to touring the world with Deep Dish he has continued to forge a unique sound that has won him fans across the globe from clubbers to leading djs alike. Embarking on world tours, taking him from Dubai to Brazil, to legendary rooms like Womb in Tokyo, Twilo and Vinyl in NY and festivals like Dance Valley and the Cream festival in Spain he has been a regular the world over and we are delighted to be bringing him to London to feature alongside Hernan’s return to The Gallery. Nicole Moudaber has continued her recent run of good form with dj sets alongside Carl Cox (by personal request) as well as guest mixes on some of the world’s foremost radio shows including Transitions by John Digweed. A favourite here at The Gallery she has rocked the Bar on numerous occasions but tonight takes her sound to the Box to play alongside Hernan providing the perfect early doors soundtrack to the epic evening ahead. With Gallery resident The Viceroy taking to the ones and twos for the finale after Hernan and guaranteed to bring the night home in his usual style we are all set for one hell of bang to get May off the ground.
The Bar meanwhile welcomes the launch of a brand new residency here at The Gallery with the first outing of the DAT Soundsystem. To some, three is a crowd. To others three is the ultimate bedtime fantasy. To Dale Anderson, Anil Chawla and Tim Davison three is the magic number, and the unique formula behind clubland’s newest supergroup. DAT Soundsystem is the brainchild of three friends... three fledging DJs... and three formidable producers. Individually, Dale, Anil and Tim are well established in their own right and between them they represent an exciting new breed of DJ/Producers about to hit the big time. Touching down at London’s Ministry of Sound, The Gallery has nabbed the world exclusive first appearance from the talented trio as they embark on a 6 hour back-to-back-to-back adventure in the Bar! It’s fitting then that DAT Soundsystem should debut at The Gallery, as it was at the clubs former home Turnmills, where the three DJs all met. And finally... the Baby Box welcomes Filthy Dirty whilst the Lounge plays host to the Subbass DJ Academy.
