Firstly, we at Trashed want to say a big thank you, once again, to all who made our launch night 'A TECHNO CIRCUS' so amazingly special......packed full and with a ridiculously good vibe - we are still reeling from the overwhelming feedback we have received since.......so:
By very popular demand, we have taken on a monthly residency with SOSHO (felt like home didn't it?) during which we will stage a series of 'Themed' parties.....all with the aim of bringing you the coolest and most cutting edge, up front techno and minimal house....but in a surrounding that shows imagination, flair, passion and most importantly a sense of fun!
The Second party in the series will be "The Speakeasy" on SATURDAY THE 31st OF JANUARY:
"Chicago, 1930.......A ban on the manufacture, sale and consumption of Alcohol has been in place for around 10 years.....driving the parties underground and the underground into the party. In order to continue to exercise their freedom, liberty and 'right to rave', "Speakeasy's" spring up in secret hidden locations all over the city and only the coolest cats know where and how to find them. Al Capone and his crew are the law and pin stripes and trilby hats are the rage........Think FAT SAM's/Bugsy Malone and you've got it!!!!"
So once again, SOSHO will be transformed - already a super cool, visually stunning venue the exposed brickwork and chandeliers will lend themselves perfectly to the Speakeasy decor.........expect can-can girls, armed guards, corrupt cops and gangsters on the make in amongst bright white table clothes, candle light and poker games.........and of course banging MINIMAL HOUSE and TECHNO to create a vibe you only ever get in Ibiza or Germany..........London got a taste in November but the last Saturday of every month in 09 belongs to SOSHO and the Trashed crew!!!
Remember, as with the last event, this absolutely NOT a fancy dress party……..it is entirely up to you whether or not to don the pinstripes and Trilby hats for the evening, there will be a lot doing so and it just adds to the fun and atmosphere…….but wear whatever you’re comfortable with
Musically, we were delighted with the performance of our handpicked team of DJ's and so we are hugely proud and massively excited to welcome back Dan Perrin (Trashed), Billy the Kid (Bambossa), Dogukan, Alex (Mass Transit) and Ugly Glitch......but will also be introducing two very recognisable names to the rosta just to really raise the bar: CHRIS HALLIDAY (KeToLoCo) and MARK FANCUILLIi !!!!!!
**************************************************
Chris Halliday (KeToLoCo) - Skipping from music technology lectures at Leeds Met’ University to behind the decks at clubs around the country, Chris Halliday is quietly gaining qualifications and not so quietly gaining work experience, whilst simultaneously shaping the future sound of the underground. Having spearheaded a revival of the afterparty scene in his native Headingly with his KeToLoCo comrades, secured a monthly residency with the peerless house institution that is Leeds’ Back to Basics, and hosted the most scorching addition to Ibiza’s independent party scene last summer, London is the subject of Chris and KeToloco’s most recent assault. Let battle commence at SOSHO on the 31st of January!
***************************************************
Mark Fancuilli - Mark has built an impressive résumé of superclubs performances for any DJ and is still only aged 22. Already he has played at most of the countries’ most popular venues such as The End where he was quarterly resident for Saved Sessions and Ministry of Sound for Spiritcatcher, outside of the UK he has spread his wings as far a field as Verona, Valencia and South America. His most notable gig to date was closing the garden at Warung's 5th Birthday. As well as DJing his production has blossomed over the past year, working with new Space resident Lewis Ryder and collaborating on a track for Skylark’s acclaimed album "i-Panik". Having just graduated with a degree in Music Technology he is now focusing all his efforts into house and is undoubtedly set for very big things in 2009. A very welcome and exciting addition to the line up for SOSHO on the 31st of January.
