More: EDM and Musica. Both of these parties started life out in Wimbledon at Bar Sia,with both of these events known for their varied approach to music, taking in a mixture of house, trance and techno. These productions have seen boat parties, roof raising at Pacha and now a move to the ultimate superclub – Ministry of Sound!

EDM started out with a simple idea. Let’s have a party where the emphasis is based on rocking a crowd with a truly varied music approach. Taking in electro, house, techno and trance the nights always progressed with energy right from the start. With various DJs coming to spin including Jurrane, Juxtapose, K.A.R.L., Adam Symbiosis, RolandLONDON and many more the nights have become well known for a crowd that have a very open mind to clubbing. Now it is time to step out of Wimbledon to a bigger stage and see how MoS takes it. .

MUSICA started life as a ‘one off’ house party in 2007 and since then has snowballed with event after event, boat parties, hosting rooms at Pacha and now plans for an international tour with events to be held in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Rio de Janeiro Sao Paulo and Fortaleza for 2010. With a music policy that takes in progressive house, minimal & Techno to the driving sounds of Trance it looks as though these two parties should compliment each other quite brilliantly.

So to the event itself. On October the 16th
EDM vs Musica takes shape in the Loft at Ministry of Sound teaming up with The Gallery for a Friday night of pure madness. Headlining the room will be Alan Banks and Serg Pereira.

Alan Banks is a name you may have seen on the London circuit over the past 5 years having already nailed gigs at parties all over London and beyond. A regular at Electronic Sessions, Planet Angel as well as EDM you may have also seen him play at Judegment Sunday, The Gallery, Heat, Knowwhere, Spangulation to name but a few. With an ability to mix up trance, house and techno Alan has become a firm favourite within the London scene. Expect the unexpected.

Serg Pereira hails in with a rich pallet of musical styles behind him. With a list of gigs all across London ranging from his own Musica and Organic Session nights to Promised @ Pacha,Trance Generation,Euphoria, Twilo and many many more, it’s Serg’s keen ear for great dance music that has seen him destroy dance floors all over the world.

We also welcome to the party Marcopilf who has a long relationship with London clubbing and the wonderful world of techno. Having appeared all across from Brixton to Farringdon we can’t wait to hear his mixture of electro and tech. Joining Marcopilf will be the team of DJ’s from Musica, Greg Canning with Multiple releases on Dj download under different aliases, Mike Millington and Gino Simone.

Tickets for this event can be obtained by contacting Serg Periera or Alan Banks at sergproductions@googlemail.com and edm1@hotmail.co.uk for the very generous price of £15.
